What Are RV Shows?

Whether you are in the market for a new RV or just trying to decide if the RV lifestyle is right for you, a visit to an RV Show is just what you need.  The shows are held all around the country, indoors and out.  Some shows charge a small admission fee to get in, so check your local newspaper or the show’s website for money-saving coupons.  If you are not sure where your nearest show is then check out Go RVing, they have a great show locator.

Be sure to dress appropriately for the show, especially if its being held outdoors.  Wear comfortable clothing & shoes because you will do a lot of walking and climbing in & out of the RV’s.

The show is made up of RV dealers from around your region, representing many RV manufacturers.  The dealers will have a salesman on hand to answer questions or sell you an RV if you are ready to buy.  It has been our experience that the salespeople are not there to pressure you into buying, only to answer your questions.  It is really much more relaxed than going to the RV dealers lot, plus you get to see many more brands all in one place.

If you are planning on or even considering purchasing an RV at the show be sure to bring all the necessary paperwork and documentation. This may include ID, proof of income, banking information and employment information.

Getting to see the latest and greatest designs can be really exciting. It really is amazing to see the improvements and features that manufacturers are putting into their RV’s.  From flat-screen televisions to electric fireplaces you will find that just about anything you can have at home you can have in your RV.

RV shows provide more than just a look at brand new campers, they have many booths in the vendor section.  The vendor area takes on that trade show look and feel.  You will find everything from home improvement booths(that really have nothing to with camping) to RV resorts and everything in between.  Most shows even have live guest speakers on various RV and outdoor subjects.

The RV show is more than just a shopping experience, it is a fun day out for the entire family.  You do not have to be in the market for a new RV to enjoy all that the show has to offer.  Please let us know what you think by leaving a comment!

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
